Bowie Nijdam is an interior and furniture designer working mostly in the hospitality and residential industry. He takes care of the entire design process from conceptualization, 3D visualization, project management and even small scale production. Bowie his educational career started in Delft where he studied Industrial Design Engineering at the TU Delft. Here he gained my basic knowledge about designing products and developed his skills in ergonomics, construction, project management, product interaction and modeling. After his bachelor, Bowie gained experience by working at different design agencies and eventually completed a master in Interior and Furniture Design at the Florence Institute of Design International in Italy. Here he developed his specialized skills in the field of furniture, lighting, and interior design. For three days a week, Bowie works for HIP Studio in Abcoude as a product/interior designer and project manager. At this design agency he works on different hospitality and residential projects in the Netherlands. Next to this he also works closely with his father Michael Nijdam from IDEA Ontwerp BV. Michael is an architect and together they can offer a total execution of architectural projects. Due to his work experience and studies Bowie got acquainted with different approaches on design. He is always looking for that perfect balance between functionality and esthetic beauty and aims for a creative use of materials. His ultimate goal is to design high quality products and interiors with a long life span that is given a high emotional value by its users.
